Grassroots Environmental Education

Grassroots Environmental Education is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization established in 2000 to address the pervasive influence of chemical toxins in our daily lives, with the goal of reducing or eliminating those that impact the greatest number of people and those that have the greatest potential to harm children. The organization's mission is to educate the public about the links between these common environmental exposures and human health impacts, and to empower individuals to act as catalysts for change within their own communities.

Based on the notion that public awareness and understanding of environmental health issues is crucial to building support for effective government regulations and institutional policies, Grassroots conducts extensive educational outreach efforts to reach groups of students, consumers, educators, opinion leaders and government officials across New York State, the Northeast and beyond.
